ABOUT CREOMECH

CreoMech is a national CAD competition and the design and modeling segment of Mechnovation 12X, the flagship national event organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST). It challenges undergraduate students from universities across Bangladesh to demonstrate their skills in 3D modeling, assembly design, and technical documentation using SOLIDWORKS. With its focus on design accuracy, creativity, engineering principles, and time-bound problem-solving, CreoMech gives aspiring engineers a platform to showcase their technical expertise and practical mechanical design skills.

03 / TEAM RULES

Team Composition Guidelines

Team sizeMaximum 2 members.
Cross-institutional teamsMembers can be from different universities.
DiversityMultidisciplinary teams and diversity of perspectives are highly supported.
Roster lockTeam rosters will lock at the end of Round 1 registration.
CommunicationThe Team Leader will be the primary communicator and will receive problem statements, submission guidelines, results, final-round instructions and other official announcements by email.

Competition Structure

ROUND 01ONLINE SUBMISSION

Problem-Solving Round

The problem statement, submission method, deadline and evaluation criteria will be emailed to the Team Leader’s registered email address. Results will be announced later.

Registration fee: ৳810 regular / ৳710 early bird. Non-refundable.
ROUND 02OFFLINE FINAL

On-the-Spot CAD Challenge

The final round will take place offline at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, SUST. Shortlisted teams must be physically present. The final round is free of charge and requires no additional registration.

Eligibility

Undergraduate Students

Open exclusively to undergraduate university students.

Maximum 2 Members

Each team may contain no more than two members.

Valid University ID

Each participant may register under only one team. Valid university ID cards are required for verification on Event Day.

06 / TECHNICAL DETAILS

Event Specifications

FINAL ROUND STAGESConceptual Modeling & PresentationShortlisted teams will proceed through both stages.
SOFTWAREAny version of SOLIDWORKSEnsure the software is installed and working beforehand.
DEVICE LIMITOne laptop per teamTeams may use only one laptop.
BRING WITH YOULaptop, mouse, chargers and multiplugParticipants are responsible for their equipment.
07 / CONDUCT

During Competition

Internet and communicationUse of the internet and communication devices is strictly prohibited.
Pre-made work and AINo pre-made models, templates or AI tools are allowed.
Stay in the arenaParticipants are not allowed to leave the arena during the competition.
ArrivalParticipants must be seated in the arena at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start time.
Software readinessOrganizers will not assist with laptop or SOLIDWORKS errors. SOLIDWORKS must be installed and working beforehand.

Disqualification

A team may be disqualified for any of the following:

False informationProviding false registration information.
Submission violationsViolating submission guidelines or missing a submission deadline.
Academic dishonestyEngaging in academic dishonesty.
Rule violationsViolating competition instructions.
Unethical conductEngaging in inappropriate or unethical conduct.
